The school day dragged. They both had separate revision periods for their lessons, in which the teachers tried to get them to cram as much information into their heads as humanly possible.

Nicola struggled to concentrate. Thoughts and images of Jenny flashed in her mind, making her body react wildly every time. She knew she should be doing her best to listen and pay attention, as she’d hardly done any revision at all. But her mind and body had other ideas and seemed hell-bent on distracting her.

She finally managed to stop thinking about Jenny by going over all the aspects of her plan instead, which ended up being as distracting. She was running out of time and decided she would have to tell Jenny everything that evening. That gave her over a week to sort everything out and ensure Jenny was on board.

They got to spend lunch together and chose to deliberately keep away from Corrina, Sarah, and Laura by hiding in the art room. It was cool and deserted, which allowed them to sneak some furtive kisses and caresses in private.

After lunch, they both had a psychology revision period in the same classroom. They sat together and ended up doing no revision work whatsoever. Their time was spent sneakily touching and caressing in any way they could. When the bell sounded, it was a relief.

“I can’t take it anymore. I need to kiss you properly. Can we go home?” Jenny asked quietly, hitching her school bag on her shoulder.

A surge of excitement shot through Nicola. “I was going to suggest the same thing.”
